Agency services for the project organization and implementation of the entire competition procedure of the Saxon State Prize for Design 2023

The Saxon State Prize for Design (SSFD) is awarded every two years by the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport. In the competition year 2023, the prize will be awarded for the 18th time. The SSfD will be expanded and will serve as an umbrella for two competitions in the future: a "performance exhibition" of Saxon design (Saxon State Prize for Design/ Design Display) and a cross-sectoral ideas competition (Shaping the Future Award). Both competitions are linked in one procedure and honour design achievements in various categories in a two-stage jury procedure: The Saxon State Prize for Design (Design Display) honours Saxon design achievements in five categories (product design in the industrial goods sector, product design in the consumer goods sector, communication design, digital design, arts and crafts); the Shaping the Future Award admits submissions nationally as well as from a selected guest country and awards prizes in three categories (products, services, concepts).

The Saxon State Prize for Design 2023 comprises various formats and is divided into the following phases:

1st kick-off (5 April 2023)

2. Bewerbungsphase (April - June 2023)

3. Jurysitzung I (August 2023)

4th Idea Workshops - Jury Meeting II (September / October 2023)

5th Award Ceremony (13 November 2023)

6. Exhibitions and Events (2024)

The subject of the contract is the organisation and implementation of the SSfD 2023. This includes the management of the submitted applications as well as the jury work, event execution and communication-accompanying measures of the competition.

The open procedure for awarding a service contract "Saxon State Prize for Design 2023" will be divided into several lots. The subject of Lot 1 advertised here are agency services for the project organization and implementation of the entire competition procedure of the SSfD 2023 by the contractor. This includes the management of the submitted applications and the jury process, the implementation of various events to promote the prize and the prize winners, as well as accompanying communication measures (marketing).

The following describes the lots, which will be advertised separately subsequently:

Lot 2 includes the awarding of catering services as part of the kick-off event of the SSfD.

Lot 3 includes the awarding of catering services within the framework of the idea workshops and jury meeting of the SSfD.

Lot 4 includes the awarding of catering services as part of the SSfD award ceremony.

Lot 5 includes the awarding of catering services as part of the opening event of the SSfD's Great Exhibition.

Lot 6 comprises the high-quality printing capacity of the 100-page catalogue of the SSfD that is to be produced within the framework of the SSfD.
