Posten Norge requires a solution for Robsrud, which through upgrading of the existing machine park and/or new installation, makes it possible at the 1st sorting process to sort parcels to a minimum of 900 different sorting points without re-processing. This should be achieved within a designated area of 4 800 m2 (60 m x 80 m). The technical capacity of the solution must be at least 22 000 parcels/hour.

There are currently 3 individual parcel sorting machines (Multi Sorter Machines — MSM — delivered by the Beumer Group in 2010 with LS3000 sorter) occupying the designated total area. Each individual MSM has a capacity of up to 198 sorting points.

It is considered crucial for Posten Norge that the Supplier, in circumstances where upgrading of the existing MSM machine park is chosen, can provide technical performance guarantees for the whole MSM plant including any upgraded parts.
