Planning of the renewal of the technical equipment of the Bovenden road tunnel in the course of the B3

Necessary measures for the renewal of the technical equipment of the Bovenden Tunnel, as well as necessary structural measures, are essentially

- renewal or upgrading

o the video surveillance system,

o the public address system,

o the emergency call / telephone system,

o the tunnel radio system,

o tunnel lighting,

o traffic engineering equipment,

o the medium-voltage system, incl. transformer,

o low-voltage switchgear,

o the UPS system,

o cabling and cable support systems,

o of grounding, lightning protection, equipotential bonding,

o the ventilation and air-conditioning technology in the company building,

o automation / control technology,

- the construction of new sanitary facilities in the company building,

- the installation of a photovoltaic system if possible,

- the structural rehabilitation of the extinguishing water basins,

- the construction of two new emergency basins, including the associated technical equipment within the tunnel functional unit, and

- the structural adaptation of the tunnel drainage system (slotted channels are currently not divided into sections by bulkheads and are not connected to the collection line via siphon or immersion wall).

In connection with the planning of the above-mentioned measures, the creation of an explosion protection concept and document for the emergency basins is also required, as well as the holistic re-creation of the safety documentation, including safety considerations.

Furthermore, in the course of planning the renewal of the technical equipment of the Bovenden Tunnel, the interface in the assignment of tasks between the NLStBV and Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes, which has been taking over the central monitoring of Lower Saxony federal road tunnels since 01.01.2021, must be considered conceptually.
