EDSN's services for its clients (the national and regional grid operators) include designing, building, installing and managing applications. EDSN would like an assurance service provider to be contracted to give an independent opinion with a reasonable degree of certainty about the design, existence and operation of the internal controls that EDSN has put in place - in addition to the general IT Controls - for the applications in scope of the Engagement during the reporting period. The testing takes place by carrying out so-called Assurance audits. EDSN wishes to go through a tender procedure to find a suitable Assurance service provider.

The scope of this tender consists of the following topics:

• Assurance on the design, existence and operation of the internal controls that EDSN has taken – in addition to the general IT Controls – for the applications in scope;

• the natural advisory function;

• Additional consultancy assignments.

The following topics fall outside the scope of this tender:

• Audit of the financial statements of EDSN

• Assurance assignments provided to EDSN by the trade association Net-beheer Nederland

• Drawing up a control framework
