In North Brabant, the province of Noord-Brabant and the municipalities of 's-Hertogenbosch, Sint-Michielsgestel, Heusden, Vught and Boxtel are working together on the regional taxi. This is based on a cooperation agreement. The province is responsible for a public offer from door to door as a supplement to line-based public transport. The municipalities pay for the transport of people with a transport facility based on the Wmo.

Since January 2015, the client has one contract with a market party for the execution of the regional taxi. In addition to driving the trips, this supplier is also responsible for directing the services (directing role). This means that they also take care of, among other things, the trip reservation, trip planning and the handling of complaints. The client intends to award regional taxi transport to a single market party.
