The Helsinki Region Transport Authority (HSL) will request your offer for an automated equipment / inventory monitoring system (Asset management) in accordance with this invitation to tender.
The invitation to tender and its annexes use both terms equipment tracking system and inventory tracking system, which mean the same thing.
See in more detail Appendix1_procure_description
HSL is in the process of acquiring an automated warehouse monitoring system that can be used to monitor the quantities of equipment in HSL's and operators' warehouses, as well as equipment transfers between different warehouses and maintenance. The system must use remotely readable tags to be glued to the devices (eg. RFID tags) for device identification. The system must automatically produce up-to-date and historical data on the locations of the equipment in the places covered by the system (warehouses and maintenance) and transports.
In connection with the location data of the devices, it must also be determined who and when delivered the device to that location.
In the warehouses of the transport operators (25 pieces) are placed "smart" lockable storage cabinets, which must automatically inventory their contents with the accuracy of the shelf. Storage cabinets are equipped with a user interface (e.g. touch screen) that shows the contents of the cabinet, can accept changes made to the contents and enter a fault description for faulty equipment. The purpose is to use the shelf-specific inventory of storage cabinets, for example, for automatic notification of failed equipment to those responsible for transporting the equipment. Initially, new travel card readers that support contactless payments and their attachment units (approx. 9000 pcs) and new vehicle routers (approx. 2100 pcs) will be connected to the tracking system. In the end, the monitoring system would cover all HSL's on-board equipment (approx. 15000 units). The system must work with the subscriber's existing identifiers. The tag used on the metal surface is based on the M730 chip, and the identifier suitable for other surfaces is based on the UCODE7xm chip.
The device register of the monitoring system must be integrated into HSL's ITSM system. The access rights of ordinary users of the system are obtained through integration from HSL's user management system. The integrations use HSL's integration platform (HIA), which is implemented with Apache ServiceMix Camel 3.
The location data of the stored devices produced by the inventory tracking system will also be used to take care of the payment terminal security (PCI DSS) of new readers.
The inventory tracking system itself will not be subject to PCI DSS requirements.
