DeltaPort GmbH & Co. KG (hereinafter: DeltaPort) in Wesel is planning a flood-free landfill to "expand the port of Emmelsum". The project is located in the city of Voerde, Wesel district (Düsseldorf administrative district). The aim is to expand the port of Emmelsum by filling in flood-free areas of around 15.8 hectares and extending the quay wall by around 130 m. The project is carried out in 2 work steps. First of all, a so-called cofferdam is built on the outer edge of the embankment. The area between the cofferdam and the existing port area is then filled with soil.

In preparation for the construction project, trees and bushes have to be felled and electric fences have to be moved. In addition, the planting of hawthorns and head trees and new plantings are planned. The planned work is partly in the direct project area or is directly adjacent to the project.

The following work is essentially to be carried out:

- felling of trees;

- Transplanting of hawthorn hedges and individual trees;

- Transplanting of willow trees and

- Assembly and dismantling of pasture fences.
