Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is awarding a contract to Organ Recovery Systems for the provision of LifePort Perfusion Consumables for the purpose of continuous hypothermic machine perfusion of kidneys for preservation for transplantation.
The LifePort Perfusion Consumables are compatible with the LifePort Kidney Transporter machines previously procured and recommended by NICE guidance. As such, a negotiated procedure without prior publication has been followed and is believed to be justified under section 32(2) (b) (ii) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 - 'competition is absent for technical reasons'.
