Description:
Renewal of the organ of the Church of Mary of Lappee

Renewal of church organ

Request for tender to obtain organ at Mary's Church in Lappee

The Lappeenranta Parish Group is asking for an offer for the new organ of the Church of Mary in Lappee. Built by Juhana Salonen, the church was inaugurated in 1794. Seating capacity is approx. 900. The first organ of the church was built by J.A. Zachariasse in 1891 and had 20 sound times and footwear. The organ was enlarged and rebuilt in 1909 and 1929 so that the original sound layers as well as the façade were preserved in the renovations. The current instrument is 37 sonic electropneumatic organ manufactured by Kangasala Organ Factory in 1967, with the original facade as part of the original facade as well as old sound layers.

The new organ will be built at the rear of the church on the organ loft, with the current organ façade retained and moved to the front of the supporting beam above. The organ is designed so that the beam remains inside the organ cabinet between the phead and the pillows. Alteration works, in which the old floor of the loft will be dismantled and the space will be built as uniform as possible, as well as the demolition of the old organ will be included

The parish group requires the bidder to get to know the Church of Mary in Lappe on site before issuing an offer. The acquaintance will be agreed at least a week earlier with Cantor Riina Töll.

The organ to be built must complete the following conditions:

1. The organ should represent the French—Romantic style in terms of basic structure as well as timbre. A construction company may choose to name a specific player used as a preface of the player being built.

2. The playing machine should be mechanical. The management machinery is built to be electric and the price is requested for this: A) electrical management combined with mechanical control and B) wholly electrical management.

3. The organ size is 33 sound-fold divided by two fingers and footwear.

4. The instrument should be built to suit Finland's climate. The choice of wood material and the way of construction should take into account the problems caused by climate and heating seasons. Size wood should be used as the main material and this may differ only in places justified by durability, without worsening of timbre and playability. The machinery should be built as maintenance free as possible, without degrading the quality of the player. Maintenance and tuning facilities should be easy and sufficiently loose.

5. The bidder shall grant a minimum warranty of five (5) years for the organ being built.

The offer must contain the following information:

A. Disposition under the Disposition Model (APPENDIX 1). A constructor may also issue a reasoned disposition proposal that differs from the model.

B. Explanations of how the builder is familiar with the type of organ required by the subscriber.

C. Information about musical instruments recently built by the construction of the structure. In addition, one refe - rens player should be named, which gives an illustration of the skills and possibilities of the builder to build that organ type.

D. Who or who performs the recording of the organ and what kind of experience does the recording recorder/recording have?

E. Warranty and price of warranty player maintenance.

F. Report on subcontractors that the construction house will use.

G. Mention which information in the offer is trade secrets.

H. Total price, payment terms and delivery time.

I. The offer should be given in the Finnish language.

J. The offer must comply with the conditions of sections 1 to 5. An offer that does not meet the conditions will be rejected. The parish group may, if deemed appropriate, subsequently, in cooperation with the chosen builder, make changes and clarifications to the plans.
