Since the beginning of 2016, the Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR) has been renovating the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin on behalf of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation.
The 'headlights' service area is part of the project area for the initial installation of the New National Gallery.
The content of the procurement includes spotlights including accessories for illuminating temporary exhibitions in the Neue Nationalgalerie.
- approx. 100 pieces of LED exhibition spotlights,
- approx. 20 Fresnell adapters and door panels,
- approx. 30 shutter units, lens tubes, snoot as custom-made products and wash diffuser,
- approx. 80 zoom lens tubes and wash diffusers,
- approx. 100 mounting clamps, network and control accessories.
Statement on product loyalty:
The spotlights advertised for these areas have been sampled, assessed and selected in several voting rounds in order to ensure, in coordination with the restorers and curators, optimal illumination of the works of art under the special requirements of the listed building and precisely in the design and corporate design of the house to be fitted.
The following make was therefore selected as part of the upstream sampling process:
- Headlight system: Electronic Theater Controls (ETC), Source Four LED Tungsten HD (Series 2),
- Start of execution: February 2021,
- End of execution: May 2021.
