This procurement is in two parts, one part comprising water monitoring of fresh water and the other part coastal water. Both parts will take place within the counties of Troms and Finnmark. A framework agreement will be entered into with one supplier for each of the procurement's two parts.

The overall purpose of the procurement is to establish agreements that include monitoring the environmental condition of surface water; lakes, rivers and coastal waters. Including sampling, analysis, reporting and delivery of data.

The following tasks will be included in water monitoring of fresh water:

• Investigation of water chemistry, benthic fauna and fouling algae in rivers

• Examination of water chemistry, phytoplankton, benthic fauna and aquatic plants in lakes

• Survey of fish in lakes

• Examination of fish in rivers

• Examination of environmental toxins in lakes and rivers, including environmental toxins in fish

• Bacteriology in rivers

The following tasks will be included in water monitoring of coastal waters:

• Water chemistry in coastal waters

• Hydrography in coastal waters

• Soft-bottom fauna in coastal waters

• Macroalgae in the beach zone

• Eel grass

• Environmental toxins in sediment
