After 10 years of successful development, the expansion of student numbers and the nationwide recognition of the MaReCum model course, the accommodation of the Medical Faculty Mannheim in rented areas is to be achieved through the urban development of a campus site and the construction of 2 new research and development centers. Teaching buildings and an auditorium building can be improved.
The scope of services is divided into 2 parts:
The first part of the service comprises the development of a supply and disposal concept for the entire campus. The concept should be flexible and future-proof. Great attention is paid to the achievement of the climate goals of the state of BW. The basic systems of generation and supply with heat, cold, drinking water, demineralized water, technical and med. Gases, electricity including self-generation, data and drainage. The routes of supply and disposal must also be planned and secured.
The second part of the service includes the planning of the TGA facilities for the construction of a new research and teaching building, the European Center for Angioscience (ECAS) with a common depot and underground car park and an auditorium center (including a cafeteria in the former disinfection facility).
In further construction phases, the construction of another research and teaching building and the conversion of the historic boiler house into an auditorium and seminar building are planned.
The depot is to be designed in such a way that the later sections of the building can also be supplied and disposed of centrally.
A planning competition for architects is currently taking place based on an urban feasibility study.
The BIM planning method should be used.
