MBN cordially invites interested parties to apply for qualification to tender for a contract for two MSCDN devices with a reactive power rating of 110MVAr and 190MVAr. Each MSCDN device shall be installed inside the existing and operational 400/150kV substation Råbäcken. The Råbäcken substation is the connection to the national (400 kV) grid of the TSO Svenska Kraftnät. MBN’s intention is to energize the two MSCDN devices in August 2021. The party which MBN awards the contract to, will have access to site from October 2020 to perform the works. Pre-condition for access is the compliance with Swedish Security legislation (SUA).The scope includes all associated civil, mechanical and foundation works, the construction and installation as well as the connection to the control and auxiliary facilities. The two MSCDN devices, which are the subject of this procurement, will have the purpose of reactive power compensation for the wind turbine generators in phase 1 of the Markbygden wind farm.
Markbygden Net AB (MBN) is a grid operator connecting wind farms located in the Markbygden area to the national grid. The Markbygden wind farm cluster is located between the towns Arvidsjaur and Piteå, in northern Sweden. Those bays have been installed already.The two MSCDN devices, which are the subject of this procurement, will have the purpose of reactive power compensation for the wind turbine generators in phase 1 of the Markbygden wind farm.The two MSCDN devices shall be installed inside the existing and operational substation Råbäcken. The Råbäcken substation is the point of common coupling (PoC) for wind farms in the Markbygden cluster, connecting onto the national (400 kV) grid of the TSO Svenska Kraftnät. Svenska Kraftnät is the overall manager (Sw. Huvudman) of the substation, with MBN acting as manager. The exact terms and conditions will be presented to the prequalified tenderers at the next stage of this procurement.
