With this (pre) selection procedure, the municipality of Brunssum intends to select a market party, which develops the location for its own account and risk in an integral way. The real estate and the provision of public space is realized by the market party. The starting point is that the municipal land is sold to the market party by the municipality.
The development location concerns the plot of the former culture and meeting center the Brikke Oave and an adjacent plot. The municipality wished to sell this location with a view to redevelopment within the framework of the Centre Vision and has requirements, preconditions and wishes with regard to the design on the relevant plot.
