The object of the contract is the execution of an intervention at the Sabbioncello Plant and the homonymous derivation canal for the redevelopment of the irrigation system of the Sabbioncello district in the Lombardy Region – Municipalities of Quingentole, Quistello and San Giacomo delle Segnate (MN).

The aim of this project is to restore the functional, structural and morphological structures of the irrigation infrastructures called the Pelješac Plant and the Pelješac Canal. The intervention was divided into two lots to meet the need to save the water resource derived for irrigation purposes on the Pelješac system, operating on two very different components of the consortium infrastructure. On the one hand, work is carried out to renew the plant parts of the mechanical lifting system for the water resource located on the Po River, and on the other hand, the Sabbioncello irrigation canal for the distribution of water resources is renovated.

The intervention involves the execution of works in the Sabbioncello Canal in a stretch that develops for about 10 km in the territories of the Municipalities of Quingentole, Quistello and San Giacomo delle Segnate (MN). The planned interventions aim at the waterproofing and bank defence, of embanked and non-embanked sections, through the use both in combination and separately of steel diaphragms using sheet piles, and bank defence with stones and bentonite geocomposite.

The intervention involves the renewal of those hydraulic and electromechanical parts inside the building of the Sabbioncello plant in the Municipality of Quingentole that can allow an efficiency of the pumping system with functional savings compared to the derived water flows.
