TTY Foundation (Tampere University of Technology) is about to purchase an Aerosol Mass Spectrometer (AMS) device. The Aerosol Mass Spectrometer device is purchased for atmospheric and combustion aerosol research.
The object of the procurement is an Aerosol Mass Spectrometer to be used in the atmospheric and combustion aerosol research consisting of:
— aerosol mass spectrometer,
— required peripherials to operate the device,
— data acquisition and spectrum recognition software,
— device components for concentration and mass spectra measurement of refractory Black Carbon (rBC) The Aerosol Physics research unit of Tampere University of Technology studies the emissions of engines, vehicles and traffic.
The studies cover experimental measurements in engine and vehicle laboratories and in aerosol laboratory, on-road exhaust measurements of individual vehicles in real-world driving environment, roadside and on-road measurements in urban environment as well as modeling studies. The Aerosol Mass Spectrometer is used to expand the measurement capability to real-time chemical characterization of particles of exhaust and ambient air.
