Replacement construction Hasselbachplatz - delivery of catenary system

Magdeburger Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH & Co. KG is planning the construction of a new

Gleisvierecks Hasselbachplatz.

The traction power supply of the trams in the area of the track quadrangle

Hasselbachplatz is operated via an existing catenary network, which connects the

entire space spanned. For this reason, it is not possible and

necessary to renew the catenary. The replacement of the track quadrangle

takes place when the catenary is mounted. Since the position of the tracks has changed only slightly,

changes, at the end of the project, the catenary is fine-tuned to the

new track geometry adapted.

The catenary between the line divider in Hallische Straße and the

Track separator in the area of Gleisdreieck Leipziger Straße/ Halberstädter Straße

must be renewed in the course of the construction work.

The track quadrangle will be built in two construction phases.

In construction phase 1, the Sternstraße - Breiter Weg area will first be renewed.

In construction phase 2, the area Hallische Straße - Otto-von-Guericke-

Road renewed. After the track quadrangle has been renewed in the construction phases

, the catenary at Hasselbachplatz will be adapted to the new track position.

In the course of the road closure construction phase 2 in the area of Hallische Straße -

Hasselbachplatz, the catenary between the

Trennern Hallische Straße and the Gleisdreieck Leipziger Straße/ Halberstädter

Road, including renewal of the dividers.
