Today, AFATEK handles the reprocessing and marketing of slag for recycling from a number of incinerators on Zealand.

This tender concerns a framework agreement for the transport by truck of sorted waste incineration slag (hereinafter also called "slag" or "slag gravel") from one of AFATEK's slag sites on Zealand to a construction project or a port of shipment east of Storebælt.

Today, AFATEK handles the reprocessing and marketing of slag for recycling from a number of incinerators on Zealand.

These tender specifications apply to AFATEK A/S' (hereinafter "AFATEK" or "contracting entity") tender for a framework agreement for the transport by truck of sorted waste incineration slag (hereinafter also called "slag" or "slag gravel") from one of AFATEK's slag sites on Zealand to a construction project or a port of shipment east of Storebælt.

The slag from the incinerators is sorted for iron and metals at AFATEK's site on Selinevej in Copenhagen. After sorting, the sorted slag is stored at one of AFATEK's slag sites on Zealand. The slag gravel is then allocated to construction projects such as roads and squares. Part of the slag gravel is allocated to construction projects east of Storebælt, where delivery to the projects takes place directly by truck from AFATEK's sites on Zealand, and another part of the slag gravel is used for construction projects in Jutland and shipped from a port on Zealand.

The framework agreement has a duration of 12 months. The estimated total amount of slag gravel to be transported during the period is 50,000 tonnes. The maximum quantity of slag gravel to be transported is 70,000 tonnes. The framework agreement expires when 70,000 tonnes of slag gravel have been transported or when 12 months have passed.

AFATEK will enter into an agreement with the winning bidder. The award criterion is lowest price.

Since it is a framework agreement, it does not impose on AFATEK an obligation to purchase a specified quantity of transport services.
