The University Hospital Regensburg intends to expand the two existing Pure Storage FlashArray C40R3, which are operated in separate server rooms and run in the cluster. The end of support and the non-return option (NRSSD) of the existing Pure Storage FA//C40R3 systems is October 2025.

The University Hospital Regensburg intends to expand the two existing Pure Storage FlashArray C40R3, which are operated in separate server rooms and run in the cluster. The end of support and the non-return option (NRSSD) of the existing Pure Storage FA//C40R3 systems is October 2025.

The existing Pure Storage FA//C40R3 systems will be used as storage for central file services and user data (including medical image data (DICOM and Non-DICOM)), which will also be the future usage scenario after the controller upgrade and expansion.

The aim of the procurement project is:

1. Controller upgrade of the two Pure Storage FA//C40R3 systems to two Pure Storage FA//C60R3 systems (incl. Silver support up to and including 10/2025 for both controller upgrades)

2. Extension 1: another Datapack 247TB (10x 24.7TB DFM) for both systems in the chassis (incl. Silver Support and FA-NRSSD up to and including 10/2025 for both DataPack)

3. Extension 2: one expansion guide and one datapack 345TB (14x 24.7TB DFM) for both systems (incl. Silver support and FA-NRSSD up to and including 10/2025 for both expansion tools and both DataPack)
