A4, ERN Beton-FB, km 114,1-123,0, b. FR - Lot 3 Vehicle restraint systems

The overall construction project includes the renewal of both lanes of the A 4 motorway between km 114.1 and 123.0 as well as the renewal of the Schmölln junction.

The measure will be put out to tender in various specialist lots.

Lot 1: Traffic safety

Lot 2: Track construction

Lot 3: Vehicle restraint systems (FRS) New construction

Lot 4: Construction of traffic lights at AS Schmölln

Lot 5: Replacement of traffic sign bridges, cantilever arms and side displays

In this procedure, only Lot 3 Vehicle Restraint Systems (FRS) New Construction will be awarded. The remaining lots will be put out to tender in separate procedures.

The service for Lot 3 includes:

- Approx. 18,000 m of concrete protective equipment

- Manufacture approx. 12,000 m steel protective equipment

at the edge of the road, as well as in the median strip of both RFs

In order to reduce traffic disruptions to a minimum, the aim is to minimise construction time.

The completion of the Lot 3 service is planned as follows:

-RiFa Görlitz, FRS on the right margin 30.11.2024

-RiFa Görlitz, FRS on the median strip 31.03.2025

-RiFa Frankfurt, FRS on the right edge 15.12.2025

-RiFa Frankfurt, FRS on the median strip 30.04.2026
