In this solution-oriented tender, Deutsche Bahn intends to procure service technician notebooks (Rugged) for use in the maintenance of a wide variety of rail vehicles. In addition to clear hardware specifications, bidders are given the opportunity to propose their own solution concepts for hardware-related services.

The plants of the various subsidiaries of DB AG with maintenance and provision services for rail vehicles operate various technology platforms. To carry out their activities, they therefore use appropriate service terminals. These ensure access to and maintenance of the integrated vehicle IT.

For this purpose, various models and technologies from different manufacturers are used in the respective subsidiaries. Some of them are individually tailored to specific vehicle series. In individual cases, largely standardized service terminal equipment series already exist. However, these are limited to the respective area of application or the respective DB subsidiary.

In order to ensure the implementation of the manufacturer's specifications for all manufacturers not already covered by individual solutions, a suitable notebook should be used.
