Barnsley College is a Grade 1 Outstanding College as rated by OFSTED in 2010. It is described as inspirational and transformational, and the College is noted as extremely effective at raising aspirations of learners and supporting them to succeed. To build on this success and grow our provision, the College is seeking to develop a framework of experienced and established providers to support them to deliver the following European Social Fund (ESF) programmes.

Skills Support for the Unemployed for West Yorkshire (excluding Bradford), the Humber and North and North East Lincolnshire.

Skills Support for Redundancy for Yorkshire and the Humber, North and North East Lincolnshire.

Other externally funded programmes targeting the unemployed and those at risk of redundancy which the college may be successfully awarded in the next 12 month.

The framework will be for the period 18.8.2014 to 31.7.2016, with a maximum overall contract value of GBP 3,000,000.
