Dehydration Essen GmbH, represented by Stadtwerke Essen AG, intends to renovate the sewer between Obere Aue pumping station and Stauseebogen 40 in Essen-Heisingen. With the construction of the new rain retention channel DN 1800, the mixed wastewater discharge from the stormwater overflow basin of the Ruhrverband can be significantly reduced.

Before the construction of the new rain retention channel DN 1800, extensive preparatory work is required. These were put together in a separate bill of quantities.

The construction preparatory measures can be specified as follows:

- Conversion work of various supply lines and the existing sewer DN 1000 in the area of the planned manhole pits,

- exploratory investigations in the field of bored pile wall excavations and in parts of the DN 1800 heading road,

- tree protection,

- New construction cycle path.

The sewer construction project Eastern Collector Upper Aue 2. BA is a renewal of a mixed water sewer DN 1800, which replaces the existing MW channel DN 1000. In the microtunnelling tunneling process, the S03 double press pit is used to press the upper floodplain over a distance of approx. 617 m towards the S02 shaft and 384 m to the northeast to reach the S05 pit (altitude 40).

House connections, supply lines and street drainage pipes are laid in open construction. In the Lelei area, the canal is renewed in the mining tunnel (S06 attitude). The introduction from the RÜ Lelei to the Ruhr was already given up in advance.
