As part of the master planning at the University of Cologne, a new building for geosciences is being built at Zülpicher Straße 49a.
The new construction measure requires that the existing geosciences building, which is currently still in place at the intended site, will be dismantled, for which, in turn, interim accommodation is to be provided to the remaining uses of the existing building on the mathematical-scientific campus.
This interim will be built in building 322, Chemical Institute. For this purpose, surfaces are housed in the so-called lecture hall tract, the ground floor and 1st floor.
Rooms that are available in the stock are used for the production of the interim. As part of this, laboratory and office space must be upgraded or rebuilt.
In addition, new student jobs are to be created in the area of former foyer areas. For this purpose, rooms are to be structurally separated and technically equipped. In addition, the areas of the workshops in the basement are re-trimmed so that parts of the technical equipment have to be relocated and the freed spaces can be used to create the interim.
1. prepare the geosciences interim premises,
2. Creating new spaces for student workplaces
3. relocation of the workshop,
4. Replacement surfaces of the Department of Chemistry and other measures.
