The AQP is used by the commissioning authorities as the main route of commissioning home care packages, including for discharge to assess and NHS continuing healthcare placements. The contract does not guarantee any volume of activity or payment to the provider. There is no minimum number of packages that the provider can expect to receive through the contract.
