The SHG Kliniken Völklingen intend to convert an existing station at the Völklingen location (station 12) and to add another storey to an existing building (station 04). Both measures are to be carried out at the same time in immediately adjacent parts of the site. Necessary planning services are tendered.

Modification of station 12:

The SHG Kliniken Völklingen currently operates an intensive care unit (Ward 12) in Building 1, Level 2 of their clinic complex. As part of the further restructuring of the clinic and in the implementation of the existing target planning, this station will move to a new building that will be completed by the end of 2021. The rooms then free will be converted into a nursing ward (13 beds) with extended medical care (IMC). Corresponding structural measures on the structure and technical equipment are required, including adjustments to the existing structure.

The affected part of the building, House 1, was completed in the mid-1980s and has 8 floors (level -1 to level +5, technical systems are located on level +6). The area affected here is built as a single-storey extension on the flat roof below. The intensive care unit currently in operation was set up in 1997-2000. There are already fire protection and drinking water supply concepts for the affected component. These are to be taken into account accordingly in the project. As-built plans with labeling in accordance with DIN 13080 are available.

The planned renovation work will take place while the clinic is still in operation. Station 12 will be cleared before construction begins. Clinic operations must also be taken into account for inventory examinations in advance. The area of the ward, which is currently used as an intensive care unit, is 615 m 2 GFA, the adjoining former operating theater area approx. 175 m 2 GFA.

As can be seen from the documents, the station 12 is only provided with windows on one long side. There is no natural ventilation on the opposite side. The patient rooms are on the window side. In the adjoining area there are 2 operating rooms with ancillary areas and technical rooms. These are no longer in operation and some of them are built in a container / lightweight construction. Part of the planning task is the investigation of various possible uses of this operating theater area and examination of economic possibilities for a contemporary renovation of these areas, taking into account the existing constraints in the existing structure and the different construction methods.

Construction of station 04:

The SHG Kliniken Völklingen intend to build a nursing ward with 20 beds as an optional service ward on the building 0. The building is an existing building with 4 floors, completed in 2008. The central entrance hall of the clinic complex is located on levels E 0 to E + 2. The gastronomy with outdoor area is also located on level 0. These aspects must be taken into account in particular for the construction site equipment and protective measures.

On this building, the new station is to be built on level +4 as an extension. In the new building of House 0, the possibility of increasing the building has already been prepared. The structural requirements are in place, the stairwells and elevator cores are already prepared for the future expansion level. The gross floor area of the planned increase is approx. 986 m 2 .

A connection via the existing flat roof to level + 4 in building 1 (station 14) is to be established. The existing height difference is to be integrated into the clinic processes as tolerably as possible. The construction work will be carried out while the clinic is still in operation. As-built plans with labeling in accordance with DIN 13080 are available.

The required architectural services according to § 34 HOAI for the conversion of station 12, work phases 1-8 described under II.1.4) are procured.

The required specialist planning services for the technical electrical engineering equipment are procured for the system groups in accordance with Section 53 (2) No. 4-6 HOAI, for the conversion of station 12, service phases 1-8, as described under II.1.4).

The required specialist planning services for the technical equipment for heating, ventilation and sanitary with building control system groups according to Section 53 (2) numbers 1-3 and 7 HOAI, for the conversion of station 12, service phases 1-8 described under II.1.4), are procured .

The required project management services are procured in accordance with the project management contract for the conversion of station 12 described under II.1.4), analogous to service phases 1-8 of the other planning services.

The required architectural services according to § 34 HOAI for the construction of station 04, service phases 1-8 described under II.1.4) are procured.

The required specialist planning services for the electrical engineering equipment are procured for the system groups in accordance with Section 53, Paragraph 2, Numbers 4-6 HOAI, for the construction of station 04, service phases 1-8 described under II.1.4).

The required specialist planning services for the technical equipment for heating, ventilation and sanitary with building control system groups according to Section 53 (2) numbers 1-3 and 7 HOAI, for the construction of station 04, service phases 1-8 described under II.1.4), are procured .

The required project management services are procured in accordance with the project management contract for the construction of station 04 described under II.1.4), analogous to service phases 1-8 of the other planning services.

The necessary structural planning services according to § 51 HOAI for the construction of station 04, service phases 1-6 described under II.1.4) are procured.
