The city council recently submitted a motion in which the college was asked to proactively contribute to the reception of Ukrainian war refugees. This tender (also) implements this motion. This has led to a start with the placement of temporary homes at the Sporthoeklaan location. At this location there is also room for an expected 150 Ukrainian displaced persons for an as yet unknown period. Initially, approximately 2 years are assumed, counting from May 2023 (week 19) to April 2025. A total of 132 homes will be placed, of which 54 for Ukrainians. The distribution of these 54 homes is as follows: 4 different types of homes, namely: 10 studios (Type A), 36 triple homes (Type B), 8 four-person homes (Type C and D).
