Finnish Transport Agency (FTA) invites you to submit your Tender on the service of a Multibeam Echo Sounder (MBES) System Hydrographic Survey in the specified fairways / shipping lanes in the Baltic Sea. The goal for this procurement process is to finalize contract with the Finnish Transport Agency.

FTA is the government agency primarily responsible for providing infrastructural services in the form of safe and accessible fairways to meet the needs of shipping in territorial as well as in EEZ waters.

First notice on this procurement was published in Finnish national procurement portal HILMA on 27.10.2015 and in TED on 30.10.2015 (2015/S 211-383006).

The name of the Projects are

— Bay of Bothnia Pietarsaari Hydrographic Surveys 2016 (BBPI2016).

— Archipelago Utö-Naantali Hydrographic Surveys 2016 (APUN2016).

— Gulf of Finland Rysäkari Hydrographic Surveys 2016 (GFRS2016).

The purpose of the project is to perform comprehensive hydrographic surveys based on the specifications and drawings included in this document and appendices.

The hydrographic surveys are to be performed according to the IHO S-44 ed.5 standards and FTA and SMA's common implementation of it, named FSIS-44. The results of these hydrographic surveys will be used in updating nautical charts and associated navigational publications, as well as modeling shipping fairways.

A comprehensive MBES survey of the areas specified herein is critical for the efficient routing and safe navigation of all types of shipping especially with regards to deep draught shipping.
