In May 2015 the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training (Udir), the Directorate Labour and Welfare (AV-dir), the Norwegian Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Buf-dir), the Directorate of Integration and Diversity (IMDi) and the Norwegian Directorate of Health (Helsedir) were given a joint assignment from their ministries: the Ministry of Education and Research (KD), the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (ASD), the Ministry of Children and Equality (BLD) and the Ministry of Health and Care Services (HOD). The Directorates shall coordinate and further develop their policies, so that they are better able to support the counties' and municipalities' work in ensuring that children and youths between 0 and 24 years complete sixth form education and get a lasting connection to working life. The assignment will be carried out in the period 2015 — 2020.
There is a need for an evaluation of the development during the course of this work and an assessment of to what degree the Directorates have succeeded in reaching their target and why/why not.
