Conversion and renovation of the Old Cotton Spinning Mill into a facility with public use (modern city administration and Albert Weisgerber Museum)
The subject of the measure is the cotton spinning mill built in 1885, a four-storey sandstone building.
After yarn production was discontinued in 1964, the Bundeswehr used the construction as a depot until 1999. The entire site consists of spinning mill, transformer house and cotton warehouse. The old floor factory is to be considered a modern
City administration and Albert Weisgerber Museum sustainable and

In a rough cost estimate, total costs of around € 23,000,000 million excluding VAT were determined.
In the 2nd stage of this procedure, the bidders who are shortlisted receive more precise specifications for the respective KG.
This order comprises the basic services according to HOAI of the aforementioned planning services of the following service phases:
- Lph 1: Grundlagenermittlung
- Lph 2: preliminary planning,
- Lph 3: design planning,
- Lph 4: Genehmigungsplanung.
Optionally in stages:
- Lph 5: execution planning,
- Lph 6: preparation of the award,
- Lph 7: participation in the award,
- Lph 8: object supervision - construction supervision and documentation,
- Lph 9: Objektbetreuung.
The contractor has no legal right to commission further service phases or a complete order.
Planning should begin immediately after the assignment.
Applicants/applicant groups who are invited to submit a fee offer after the completion of the competition may receive further information and documents.
Other services to be awarded are not part of the present call for tenders and will be awarded separately. In parallel to this call for tenders, the following further planning services will be announced throughout Europe:
1. Structural design according to § 51 HOAI
2. Architectural services according to § 34 HOAI
3. Outdoor plant planning according to § 38 HOAI
Applicants may apply for more than one of these benefits. Double applications within the scope of this call for applications are not permitted. Multiple applications within the scope of the present announcement of individual applicants or individual members of an applicant association may lead to the exclusion of all affected offers if the applicant, the bidding community or the affected competing member companies or bidding groups can prove that the relevant Quotations were created completely independently of each other, are not successful.
