The growth strategy pursued in recent years was unsuccessful, instead, despite slightly increasing income, it led to declining results and increasing debt Klinikum Soest has commissioned a renovation concept according to IDW S6.
The current draft of the redevelopment concept is currently being revised further. The finalization of the restructuring concept is planned for the beginning of December 2020.
A framework contract is tendered for support services for the implementation of the redevelopment measures described / developing in the redevelopment concept. The services to be provided according to the framework agreement can be found in the service description and its annexes. Together with the framework agreement, 3 individual orders are tendered that represent the client's current needs.

Every year around 17,000 inpatients and 32,000 outpatients are treated here. With 316 beds in the state hospital plan, the clinic is a typical one regional basic and standard care provider. The clinic is one of the largest employers in the region and looks back on over 100 years of history. The city of Soest is the sole shareholder of the Soest Clinic. From obstetrics to the center for geriatric medicine, all medical, Nursing and therapeutic facilities are brought together under one roof, which enables fast, comprehensive and individual care. The spectrum is supplemented by the offers of the cooperating practices, which are located in the medical center of the clinic, as well as the Soest Vital therapy and rehabilitation center.

In March 2020 the Soest Clinic was in an acute liquidity crisis that threatened its existence. The Soest Clinic has commissioned KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft to create a restructuring concept in accordance with IDW S6. A draft of a renovation concept as of May 10, 2020 is currently available. This draft is currently being revised and refined. The finalization of the restructuring concept is planned for the beginning of December 2020. Further updates or changes to the restructuring concept are possible over the term of the framework agreement.
