B29 Aalen, Rombachtunnel BW 7126 629 - structural renovation and repair - Object planning of engineering structures according to §§ 41ff. HOAI, LPH 1-3, LPH 5 (optional), LPH 6 and technical planning Structural engineering according to §§ 49 ff. HOAI, LPH 1-3, LPH 6 (optional) as well as safety concept / safety and health protection plan
General
The Rombach Tunnel is located in the course of the western bypass of the B29 near Aalen. The tunnel passes under the Stuttgart-Aalen railway line in the area of the south portal, the Weilerstrasse in the middle of the tunnel as well as the Rombach and Sauerbach.
The tunnel is oriented from south to north and is about 870 m long. The structure was built in 2001 and is designed as a rectangular cross-section using the cut-and-cover method (white tank/WU concrete). Starting at the southern tunnel portal, there is a middle wall between the lanes of approx. 3 m wide at approx. 160 m.
At the northern portal there is a trough structure (groundwater trough), which is about 440 m long. In the lower area, the wall plinths in the ramp area are made entirely of reinforced concrete and have a staircase. The wall surfaces above the wall plinths are clad with perforated bricks. The trough walls of the groundwater basin are also built of reinforced concrete in the area behind the cladding, but with a smaller width than in the base area.
The sponsor of the project and the construction authority of the federal highway is the Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the Stuttgart Regional Council.
Prehistory of planning
The Rombach Tunnel was built and put into operation in 2001.
As part of the regular structural inspections and a concrete investigation with regard to chloride loading, damage was found that is to be repaired in the course of the work on retrofitting and repairing the tunnel.
On the basis of the current regulations, a fire water basin, lion pipes, possibly (catchment) / emergency basin must be planned. In cooperation with the specialist planner for the technical equipment, the escape doors are to be renewed in accordance with the latest regulations and state of the art.
For the operational equipment, an extension of the operating building outside the tunnel is planned as a new building.
planning task
As part of the engineering services, services of object planning according to §43, HOAI and structural planning §51 HOAI are required.
From the scope of services of the object planning according to HOAI §43 are to be commissioned:
Leistungsphase 1 - Grundlagenermittlung 2%
Work phase 2 - preliminary planning 18.8%
Work phase 3 - design planning 24.5%
Work phase 5 - Implementation planning 8%
Work phase 6 - Preparation at the award ceremony 13%
Total 66.3%
From the scope of services of structural design according to HOAI §51, the following are to be commissioned:
Leistungsphase 1 - Grundlagenermittlung 3%
Work phase 2 - pre-planning 10%
Work phase 3 - design planning 15%
Work phase 6 - Preparation of the award 2%
Total 30%
The planning of the engineering structure is commissioned/carried out by the RP Stuttgart. The plans have to be coordinated accordingly.
Boundary conditions and pass-through points
Within the scope of the requested engineering services, planning and investigation results already provided must be taken into account as follows.
- Chloride investigation report, as of May 2020
- Condition reports for structural inspections, main inspections and individual inspections, as of 2019
- Documents of ongoing and completed preliminary measures
