In the current situation, Ambulance Amsterdam does not yet use an ALS ambulance that is specifically designed for IC transport. Due to the increasing demand for the different forms of IC transport:

- MICU (Adult IC transport),

- PICU (child IC transport),

- NICU (Neonates IC transport),

- Adipeus (Obese transport> 150).

Due to the developments in the demand for IC transport, from chain partners and the insights of the (medical) policy makers at Ambulance Amsterdam, the decision was made to purchase specifically designed ambulances for the specialty team that can do IC transport as well as ALS.

The assignment consists of building and building six ambulances (built identically) that meet the package of requirements.
