The purpose of the project is to replace the electrical superheater belonging to the 98 MW steam boiler, which is backup for the steam supply from Asnaesvaerkets unit 2 and unit 5. The scope of the agreement is basically engineering, manufacturing and shipping of superheater and power modulation unit.

The key scope of the supply is an electrical steam superheater and a power modulation units with a heating capacity of approx. 7.5 MW.

The superheater is configured in line after a 98 MW steam boiler, which works as backup for the Asnaes Vaerket unit 2 and unit 5. During normal conditions the steam enters the superheater at approx. 20 bar saturated and lives the superheater with a temperature of approx. 300 deg. C.

The purpose of the project is to increase the steam supply availability as well as to bring down the maintenance costs. Availability is a key word due to the fact that the heat customers requires uninterrupted supply of steam. Following reliability and a ‘service friendly’ configuration of the new superheater is of major importance.
