Iris Salten IKS is owned by 9 municipalities in Salten and is responsible for the collection and treatment of household waste in the 9 municipalities: Bodø, Fauske, Saltdal, Beiarn, Gildeskål, Meløy, Sørfold, Steigen and Hamarøy, as well as the operation of 12 Environmental Stations in the same municipalities.

Retura Iris AS is a subsidiary company of Iris Salten IKS and carries out commercial waste collection in the same municipalities, as well as the hire of containers to the private market.

The purpose of this procurement is to enter into a framework agreement for the procurement of waste containers, i.e., plastic containers with a lid and wheels for residual waste, food waste, cardboard/paper/cartons, and glass and metal packaging, and other equipment and material, to maintain the municipal waste collection scheme, as well as the commercial waste collection scheme that Retura Iris runs. Most of the contract is for containers with 2 and 4 wheels.

The framework agreement period will be 2 years, with an option for a 1 + 1 year extension.
