Petrol engine VW 1,5l TSI Euro 6 Golf 7 Technik EA211 EVO OBD (system like Ingenieurbüro Mayer Lendsiedel or equivalent)

- Engine: VW gasoline 1.5l 16V with exhaust gas turbocharger, OBD with single spark coil, aluminum engine block, knock control, EPC accelerator pedal sensor, exhaust gas recirculation, exhaust manifold integrated in the cylinder head, active cylinder management ACT, engine management Bosch MG1 etc. Fully functional.

- Built on a frame made of aluminum profile with a sturdy console made of 40x80mm profile. With large swivel castors diameter min. 160 mm, at least 2 swivel castors with brake. Sturdy brackets for radiators and attachments must be available. All components for operating the engine must be true to the original, clearly arranged and fully available. 6. The motor must be wired to an original wiring harness (troubleshooting according to the original wiring diagram must be possible) and contain all original fuses and relays and diagnostic connectors. All plug connections on control units, control panel inserts, as well as other components must be accessible for measurement exercises. There must be a main switch to turn off the battery, as well as an emergency switch.

7. All rotating or hot parts must be protected or covered for safe operation. Version in plexiglass.

8. For each engine, extensive documentation on technology, circuit diagrams and fault circuitry must be supplied.

9. The engine can be used or new. In the case of used engines, engines with a low mileage must be used and the engine must be visually prepared. The engine must correspond to the standard status. (Software version, control unit, etc. The chassis number must be active at VW.)

10. For the engine, a CAN simulation of non-existent control units must be supplied. As a result, the engine control unit is error-free. The speed lock when stationary must be lifted by simulating a driving speed.

11. The cylinder deactivation must be functional and representable.

12. A transparent cover must be supplied for the engine.

- Breakout box system (system such as engineering firm Mayer Lendsiedel or equivalent): The breakout box system must be universal and modular. (I.e. engines that have been replaced later must be able to be equipped with this system again - using existing boxes). The motor is to be equipped with a breakout box system in 4mm technology. It must be possible to measure on all active PINs of the control unit. So many boxes and cables must be supplied per motor that simultaneous measurement on all PINs is possible. - Fault circuit (system such as Mayer Lendsiedel engineering office or equivalent): The motor must be equipped with a system fault circuit. Each error must be able to be switched on individually or any error together. The errors will be determined after consultation with the client. Furthermore, 4mm measuring sockets must be installed in all sensors and actuators where faults are connected. By installing the measuring sockets, the connected faults can be measured "to the end" without deduction of plug connections or piercing of cables. E.g. via a voltage loss measurement. The fault circuit must be constructed as follows: fault switches must be housed in a separate box so that the trainee does not recognise during operation whether a fault is switched or not.

10 different system errors must be connected via the error switch box. Each fault switch has three positions. 1. Contact system error-free. 2. Cable break. 3. Contact resistance. This results in 20 different errors. Depending on the customer's wishes, faults that are not detected by self-diagnosis must also be integrated.

The fault circuit must be lockable.

Sturdy brackets for radiators and attachments must be available. All components for operating the engine must be true to the original, clearly arranged and fully available. Among other things, the following is required:

1. The exhaust system must contain all catalytic converters and mufflers.

2. The cooling system must be built true to the original. Guards for radiator fans must be transparent in Plexiglas

3. The fuel system shall also include the in-tank unit with pump and level sensor. Fuel tank capacity at least 10 l. For gasoline engines, the activated carbon system must be present and fully functional. There must be no further vent on the tank (OBD test)

4. All original control units such as ignition lock, accelerator pedal sensor, brake clutch pedal switch must be present. The ignition lock and steering column control unit must be freely accessible. Terminal 50 must be controlled true to the original.

5. The original speedometer unit or panel insert must be present and all functions required for the operation of the engine must be connected. Incl. service interval indicator, check engine lights, temperature gauges and tank level indicator. The instrument cluster must also be accessible from the rear.

6. The motor must be wired to an original wiring harness (it must be possible to troubleshoot according to the original wiring diagram) and contain all original fuse boxes and relays and diagnostic connectors. All plug connections on control units, control panel inserts, as well as other components must be accessible for measurement exercises. There must be a main switch to turn off the battery.

7. All rotating or hot parts must be protected or covered for safe operation. Version in plexiglass.

8. For each engine, extensive documentation on technology, circuit diagrams and fault circuitry must be supplied.

9. The engine can be used or new. In the case of used engines, engines with a low mileage must be used and the engine must be visually prepared. The engine must correspond to the standard status. (Software version, control unit, etc. The chassis number must be active at VW.)

10. For the engine, a CAN simulation of non-existent control unit must be supplied. As a result, the engine control unit is error-free. The speed lock at a standstill must be lifted by simulating a driving speed. This also makes it possible to regenerate the particulate filter while driving.

11. A transparent cover must be supplied for the engine.

12. A diagnostic system (e.g. VCDS W-Lan) and an SCR diagnostic kit must be supplied for the engine.

- Breakout box system (system such as engineering firm Mayer Lendsiedel or equivalent): The breakout box system must be universal and modular. (I.e. engines that have been replaced later must be able to be equipped with this system again - using existing boxes). The motor is to be equipped with a breakout box system in 4mm technology. It must be possible to measure on all active PINs of the control unit. So many boxes and cables must be supplied per motor that simultaneous measurement on all PINs is possible. The control unit is connected to the boxes via a Y adapter cable. It must be possible to carry out direct resistance measurements of the components. The PIN assignment must correspond to the original circuit diagram. The boxes must be expandable up to 186 PIN. The box must be connected directly to the rack with a hinged bracket. System consisting of: Breakout box 186 PIN (3 x 62 PIN), connection cable 3x 62 PIN, adapter for 2.0 CR engine VW.

- Fault circuit (system such as Mayer Lendsiedel engineering office or equivalent): The motor must be equipped with a system fault circuit. Each error must be able to be switched on individually or any error together. The errors will be determined after consultation with the client. Furthermore, 4mm measuring sockets must be installed in all sensors and actuators where faults are connected. By installing the measuring sockets, the connected faults can be measured "to the end" without deduction of plug connections or piercing of cables. E.g. via a voltage loss measurement. The fault circuit must be constructed as follows: fault switches must be housed in a separate box so that the trainee does not recognise during operation whether a fault is switched or not. 10 different system errors must be connected via the error switch box. Each fault switch has three positions. 1. Contact system error-free. 2. Cable break. 3. Contact resistance. This results in 20 different errors. Depending on the customer's wishes, faults that are not detected by self-diagnosis must also be integrated. The fault circuit must be lockable.

Conversion or preparation of the vehicle for training (installation of measuring points and fault switches on at least 2 different vehicle systems)

The systems are defined after the contract has been awarded and the vehicle has been analysed and must be systems with extensive functions and connections.

The vehicle must be equipped with measuring points on all sensors, actuators, bus system connections and the power supply on at least 2 systems. The measuring points must be designed as a gold-plated 2mm socket, have a stable strain relief and be provided with the corresponding plug and pin designation.

A total of at least 40 fault circuits must be installed on these at least 2 systems. These faults can be switched via 3-stage switches (i.e. equivalent to 20 switches, e.g. error off-error1-error 2). Faults can include interruptions, series resistances, resistances to ground or plus or other signals, signal simulators or similar (e.g. simulation of loose contact and short circuits between e.g. bus lines). The fault circuit must be lockable and located in the interior.

Furthermore, breakout boxes for the decisive control unit(s) must be installed on these at least 2 systems. These breakout boxes must make all pins of the respective ECU accessible. The breakout boxes can be permanently installed, but it must be ensured that the vehicle including the bonnet is closed. For this reason, the breakout boxes can be plugged in.
