Description:
20_5196 Survey Amongst Employers who have Employed Newly-qualified Candidates from Vocational Colleges, University Colleges and Universities

The Ministry of Education and Research would like to carry out a new large survey of employers who have employed new graduates from vocational colleges, university colleges and universities. The aim is to get employers' experiences and assessments of the competences and skills that new graduates have acquired through their education, as well as what kind of current and future skill needs employers currently have, and their expectations on future competence needs.

The project follows the employer survey that was awarded to NIFU after a public announcement, and which is documented in the report Støren with others (2019), Education for Working Life. Employers' expectations for and experiences of newly qualified persons from universities, university colleges, and vocational colleges, NIFU report 2019:3. The contracting authority is open to the fact that other relevant problems can have arisen in recent years, which will also be important to include in the survey. Tenderers are encouraged to justify good topics they would like to examine.

Tenders must draft a plan for how various sectors and occupational groups can be incorporated into the survey and which topics/questions will be covered, as well as the scope and method. The survey must cover occupational groups in both the public and private sector, and it must have a format that makes it possible to uncover any differences between industries, type of employer and region. We would like the survey to contribute to identifying interesting trends. Thus a comparative design based on the previous survey is therefore an advantage.

The survey must have sufficient scope so that it can be broken down to graduating higher education institution level and different professional areas, as well as types of graduates candidates (level and profession).
