Engineering services: Preparation of a rehabilitation concept for RÜB and pressure pipes, rehabilitation concept for the sewerage system, consolidation of results, data transfer and documentation
Stadtentwässerung Hildesheim AöR (SEHi) operates and maintains the approximately 670 km long drainage network of the city of Hildesheim.
In order to reassess rehabilitation priorities and to be able to ensure the success of the rehabilitation and the intrinsic value of the drainage system in the long term, SEHi plans to start work in 2023 on the creation of an optimized maintenance plan using forecasting models. In the course of this, maintenance concepts for the 9 stormwater overflow basins and the pressure pipes are also to be developed and integrated into the overall concept.
Thus, for both the short and medium term as well as for the long-term period, a network maintenance strategy is to be developed, which essentially enables:
• If necessary, the structural substance as well as the commercial and substantial value of the system must be restored and subsequently preserved.
• The desired target state of the network, which has yet to be defined in detail, is to be achieved and maintained from an operational, structural and legal point of view.
• Optimized maintenance should make it possible for the measures associated with the above-mentioned goals to be implemented at the economically right time, in a fee-compatible manner.
• Efforts should be made to equalize investment activities and operating expenses for maintaining the company's assets. Accordingly, jumps in costs and resources are to be avoided on a long-term average. A long-term fee development strategy is to be established. The nature and scope of the measures must also be taken into account in terms of the human and technical resources of the services
