NMI requires specialist transport and logistics services to assist with the movement of museum object, archive and library collections and other non-collections objects, such as equipment, supplies, office furniture and so on. Primarily this will involve the movement of collections and non-collection objects from one location to another, sometimes within the same NMI site, between NMI sites, or on and off site. Occasionally this might include international transport/haulage. In some instances, this may include assisting NMI staff in preparing collections or other non-collections objects for transport, through packing, stabilisation, supplying crates, boxes, packing supplies, sometimes custom-made and lifting or moving equipment.
