Project Planning Services Transport Facilities and Project Planning Services Open-air facilities for the dismantling and redesign of the Roman road in Gilching.
The municipality of Gilching has formally stipulated the remediation area "Ortsmitte Gilching" by statute dated 22.3.2017 and was included in the federal-state urban development program "Active Centers".
The urban development mission statement includes the design and functional upgrading and strengthening of the center of Gilching. The municipality Gilching plans in the central town center according to measures of the preparatory investigations the conversion and the attractive transformation of the public space. This should also be done in connection with the development of the new residential area "Gilchinger Bald". The area southwest of the Roman road (pedestrian zone) was realized about 15 years ago.
By the end of 2019, the west bypass currently under construction will be completed, so that the Roman road will be relieved of traffic by approximately 20-25% and can be rededicated as a municipal road. Under this condition, a rebuilding of the public transport area is possible to upgrade the Roman road, for all road users, especially pedestrians and cyclists. Furthermore, according to the willingness of the owners to cooperate, the restructuring of the private plots adjacent to the public ram is also sought.
In 2007, a plan for the narrower center was funded with planning materials from the Supreme Building Authority, from which the draft of the architectural firm Tilch and Drexler emerged as a recommendation. Building on this, in 2014 the Plankreis, Munich was commissioned with the preparatory investigations according to § 141 BauGB. The results and objectives of these plans and investigations are to be considered in the planning. In doing so, the overall concept, based on existing documents, must be updated and, in particular, the height and design integration of the adjacent private traffic areas must be ensured.
The municipality Gilching intends to implement the barrier-free transformation of the Roman road in the defined area (about 400 m in length, from the intersection Römerstraße / Rathausstraße to the railway underpass). It is planned to award project planning services for traffic facilities pursuant to § 47 HOAI, service phases 1-9 as well as special services for the dismantling, reorganization and revaluation of the Roman road. The service phases are commissioned in stages.
