Routes including school transport and local bus routes starting in the following municipalities:

— Bykle (approx. 950 inhabitants),

— Valle (approx. 1 270 inhabitants),

— Bygland (approx. 1 200 inhabitants),

— Evje og Hornnes (approx. 3 550 inhabitants),

— Iveland (approx. 1 300 inhabitants),

— Vennesla (the total number of inhabitants in the entire municipality is approx. 14 000, but the routes in the tender documentation only cover the northern part of the municipality which is relatively sparsely populated).

In addition the routes include the regional bus route Kristiansand-Evje-Hovden-Haukeli, which corresponds with the Haukeli express, as well as the stretch Evje-Arendal. A large share of those who use public transport in the area covered by this competition are pupils with a right to free school transport.
