Description:
Cladding remedial works involve the removal of combustible materials and the installation of non-combustible alternatives at French, Finch, and Margaret House, including the introduction of compartmentation and replacement of failed cavity barriers.
Phase 1 Cladding Remedial Works Project – French, Finch and Margaret House. This opportunity relates to cladding works in relation to : French House: Introduction of compartmentation and removal of the HPL only (Existing combustible insulation and timber battens to remain). Removal of the timber decking to the balconies and top terrace areas. Finch & Margaret House: The existing failed cavity barriers are to be removed and new barriers are to be installed as per manufacturers recommendations at horizontal, vertical, window/door openings and service vents. • The High-Pressure Laminate (HLP) Cladding panels and combustible insulation are to be removed and replaced with a non-combustible alternative – (not required at Margaret House as no HPL). • The timber decking to the balcony attachments are to be removed and replaced with a non-combustible alternative • To Wall Types 2 & 3, the combustible insulation is to be removed and replaced with a non-combustible alternative, should it not be fire treated.
