The Aquaculture Technical Section of BIM undertakes trials with the Aquaculture Industry in accordance with the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund and the National strategic Plan for Aquaculture. As part of this process it is planned to make provision to carry out land based tank trials (with adequate seawater supply) at a licensed site in respect of BIM aquaculture technical work and technologies, in addition to providing facilities for a seaweed hatchery, during the period 2018 — 2020.
