The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs will enter into a new 4-year research and review contract on collective working life. The contract will have particular focus on working life's parties, the collective actors, tariff agreements, tariff reviews, and work conflicts, and will contribute to the further development and communication of knowledge built up in this area. This will happen through mapping central activities and development characteristics in collective working life, the development of individual projects in relevant theme areas, and knowledge communication to the working life's organisations, authorities, and society in general. The activities include, amongst other things, monitoring central indicators such as degrees of organisation, tariff agreement coverage, and the extent of work conflicts, as well as the maintenance and further development of a tariff agreement archive.

The contract period is from when the contract is signed until 31 December 2024. The contract has an upper financial limit of up to NOK 4 million excluding VAT.
