Maintenance in operational condition and height of DGA Aeronautical Techniques' EMC weighted cages
As part of their activities, the EMC / Strong Fields and Lightning departments of DGA Aeronautical Techniques are required to carry out electromagnetic test campaigns on weapons systems (aircraft, vehicles, missiles, etc.) and on electrical and electronic devices. These tests are carried out in faradized enclosures (anechoic chambers, reverberant chambers, GTEMs, Faraday cages and shelters) to isolate the tested systems from the external environment and to protect personnel from electromagnetic radiation.
These faradized enclosures must be subject to maintenance to guarantee the objectives of safety, availability and performance of the means identified to carry out in good conditions the various missions assigned to them and to ensure the quality of the results obtained.
The resources to be maintained under this market are 24 in number and consist of a majority of reverberant chambers, anechoic and semi-anechoic chambers, associated measurement shelters and 2 GTEM cells (Giga-Transverse Electromagnetic cell).
The 3 dimensioning elements are:
- 1 semi-anechoic chamber of 40 x 27 x 15 meters (= 16,200 cubic meters)
- 1 reverberant chamber of 24 x 15 x 7 meters (= 2,520 cubic meters)
- 1 reverberant chamber of 15 x 6 x 4 meters (= 360 cubic meters)
