The purpose of the adoption is:

1. the renovation of the bridge in the N47 (Dendermondebrug) over the Scheldt in Dendermonde. The location is the following: N47 (both directions) in Dendermonde between approx. Kmpt. 14,325 (start of the central reservation - side Grembergen) and 14,808 (start of the central reservation of the Dendermonde side);

2. to realize the renovation of the Mechelsepoort intersection (N17-N47) in Dendermonde. The works include the four arms of the intersection: N17 Mechelsesteenweg between kmpt. 17.3 and kmpt. 17.4; N47 Leopoldlaan-Martelarenlaan between kmpt. 13.8 and kmpt. 14.4; N407 Noordlaan between kmpt. 0 and kmpt. 0.2. To increase the road safety of the vulnerable road user, bicycle paths with bicycle tunnels will be constructed under the intersection;

3. structural maintenance on the N17 between kmpt. 15.75 and 17.33 including intersection N17-N41. This structural maintenance includes, among other things, the milling of 2 layers of asphalt and the reconstruction of an underlay and top layer, the local breaking up of the parking strip and the redevelopment of the foundation and asphalt paving, the local breaking up and renewal of bad zones in the road including foundation, the local breaking up and renewing the ditches, and other small-scale interventions.
