Eluate analyses on test specimens made of fresh and solid mortar for the assessment of their material emissions and ecotoxicological effects.

For environmental assessment, methods for elution from solid and fresh concrete as well as the associated characterization of the emitted substances were developed and tested. Within the framework of this contract, starting materials for typical concretes, as used in the structures of the modes of transport, are to be examined with regard to their material emissions and ecotoxicological effects.

The test specimens are to be produced according to defined compositions and specifications within the framework of the awarding process. The starting materials are to be procured by the contractor. Subsequently, the elution takes place according to described or standardized specifications. The selection of the ingredients and parameters to be analyzed per eluate as well as the associated methodology are also described and/or refer to common standards and methods. Ecotoxicological studies are carried out on a selection of eluates and using established methods.
