Production and delivery of archive boxes for magazinesThe archive boxes are required for professional and permanent archiving of unbound media works. When filled, they should be closed with the slide (lid), moved to the magazine and permanently archived vertically on the narrow side.
The archive box is made of corrugated cardboard with a thickness of 1.6 - 1.7 mm. A tolerance of 10% is allowed. The colour of the material should be grey-blue on the outside.
The dimensions specify height x depth x width as the external dimensions to be observed. The archive box should be assembled using a plug-in technology (tab and slot), no use of metal parts. The erection is done by folding, folding and plugging - no gluing.
It should stand upright and the slider / lid should open towards the front (towards the shelf aisle).
The direction of travel of the corrugated board should be oriented in such a way that in the case of the cardboard body, in the initial cut, the tube opening points forward in the direction of the closure lid and the direction of travel of the lid is transverse to the grooves.
The slider/lid is pushed in. The rear inserted part extends to the bottom of the archive box. The tuck-in flap of the slider/lid must be able to be inserted into the folded cardboard body over a length of at least 25 mm. In addition, there must be a semi-circular opening with a tab for engagement in order to open the lid. So that the slider/lid does not slip into the cardboard body, it must correspond in the visible region to the height a - the outer dimensions of the box. The lid must not open again on its own when closed.
The archive boxes must not be sharp-edged. The surfaces of the corrugated cardboard must be free of stains. The corrugated cardboard must not break open when the boxes are erected.
After folding, all sides must be flush. It should be possible to erect the box in 1 minute without instructions and with few tools.
The material used must meet the archive quality according to DIN ISO 16245-A. The materials must have a total basis weight of at least 500g/m² +/- 5% (measurement tolerance) for a 1.6 mm thick cardboard (correspondingly higher for thicker cardboard). The material must be wet resistant for 24 hours (test by the client is carried out on the basis of the samples). The top layer should be colored as thoroughly as possible. The information on the total basis weight as well as the wet strength and top layer must be included in the offer. A certificate for complying with the respective DIN/parameters must be included.
Production and supply of inner sleeves for vinyl recordsThe German National Library has an extensive collection of vinyl records. This collection of the German Music Archive is constantly being expanded.

To ensure this, appropriate packaging is required that meets both conservation and archive-specific requirements. The archive boxes are required for the proper archiving of archive materials from the German Exile Archive.
The archive boxes consist of an outer part and a removable insert. They must be robust and stackable. The purpose of connecting elements is to prevent the stacked boxes from slipping.
The side walls of the outer part should be made of solid board or chipboard (formaldehyde-free) if possible. The outer part should be covered with a paper cover in black or dark grey. The archive box should be stored horizontally with the narrow side facing forward. It has a flap on the front with a handle or recessed grip (preferably made of stainless steel) and can be opened upwards.
A label frame is to be attached to the outside of the front flap in order to insert the inscription. The labelling device should be approximately 10 cm wide x 2.2 cm high.
The internal, three-sided slipcase is to be made of sturdy solid board with a thickness of 1.6 mm to 1.8 mm. It should be open towards the front (narrow side) and extendable (pulled out through a tab, preferably made of stainless steel). The pull-out tab is also intended to serve as a closure for the archive box. The upper front corners should be rounded.
The material used for the internal slipcase is archival quality in accordance with DIN ISO 16245-A and/or DIN ISO 9706 or equivalent. This must be proven with a declaration or a certificate. It must also be proven that the chipboard is formaldehyde-free.

Production and delivery of Juri's foldersThe custom-made folders are required to archive various media.
The JURIS folders are to be manufactured from light grey archive cardboard, with three flaps and a possible filling height of 30 mm. The thickness of the cardboard is 240 or 330 g/m2, depending on the size of the folder. The respective grammage can be found in the table below.
The creases at 5 mm spacing allow flexible filling up to the maximum filling height. All flaps should be beveled after the last groove, so that no buckling of the flaps occurs when the folder is closed. When filled to the maximum, the flaps should cover a third of the folder's height or width. In the unfilled state, however, they may collide to the maximum, but not overlap.
All corners should be rounded. The direction of movement of the carton must be parallel to the height.
The stated dimensions correspond to the outer dimensions of the folders.
The material used must be archival quality in accordance with DIN ISO 16245-A and/or DIN ISO 9706 or equivalent.
The JURIS folders must not be sharp-edged. The surfaces of the folders must be stain-free. The cardboard must not be broken at the edges. All sides must be flush.
The folders are delivered folded. The folders should be packed in boxes in manageable quantities, for example, 50, 100 or 150 pieces/box. The boxes must be labelled on the outside with information on the contents. (dimensions/ number of pieces)
The pallets must be provided with information about the load when they are delivered.

The color of the material should be greyish blue. The maximum filling height is 40 mm.
The material should be able to be folded over without great effort. The flaps should be grooved 5 mm apart. These enable a variable fill level of the folder from 5 to 40 mm.
The right flap is beveled so that it can be inserted into the slot of the left flap. The flap length should extend over the entire width of the folder. The flaps at the top and bottom should each be so long that they abut against one another or overlap minimally when filled to the maximum. When the folder is filled to a minimum or maximum, the slanted flap must not slip out of the slot or open. It is closed by a tuck-in flap and insertion slot. The insertion tab should be as large as possible and conical. The insertion slot is centrally located on the front cover. When closed, the insertion slot must not be much wider than the flap (max. 0.5 cm on each side). Small hole punches must be made at the ends of the slot to prevent the slit from tearing.
The tuck-in flap must close securely even at maximum capacity.
All corners of the folder should be rounded. The direction of movement of the carton should be parallel to the back height.
The wrapping folders must not be sharp. The surfaces of the folders must be stain-free. The cardboard must not be broken at the edges. All sides must be flush.

This groove must be positioned directly on the edge of the cardboard. The flaps can optionally be provided with further grooves.
The colour of the cardboard and the cardboard should be in a muted colour (grey, blue), not white.
The fastening tape must be long enough to be able to tie the maximally filled binder comfortably and securely with a double loop via the thread ends.
