Description:
Open procedure for the organization and coordination of the transport of works of art within the framework of the exhibition "Salvador Dalì - René Magritte" on behalf of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Bel

This contract covers the organization and coordination of the transport (return journeys) of works of art (with or without conveyor) from Belgium and abroad (according to the inventory lists in annex) in the part of the exhibition "Salvador Dalì- René Magritte", which will take place in the premises of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium (MRBAB) in Brussels from 11.10.2019 to 9.2.2020.


Organization and coordination of transportation (return trips) of works of art (with or without conveyor) from the USA and Canada

a) The production of standard packaging: soft and cash (see description on page 3). After the conclusion but before the order of the contract, the conditions of packing can be modified according to the instructions of the lender. It is the lender / owner who decides whether the production of the packaging is in line with its requirements. Any additional costs will have to be evidenced by evidence. These modifications fall entirely under the application of article 38/2 of the Royal Decree of 22.6.2017, modifying the AR RGE of 14.1.2013;

b) The packaging and unpacking of the works (see inventory lists) according to the wishes of the lenders (custom-made boxes or soft packs - tyvek, bubble plastic, cardboard, corners) on the outward and return journey;

(c) The transportation by road or air of such works, on the outward and return journey, according to the wishes of the lenders;

d) The organization of the travel of the conveyors of the works to and from, including the booking of air tickets, train tickets and hotel rooms;

(e) customs formalities relating to the carriage of such works, both outward and return;

f) The removal of empty crates before the opening of the exhibition and their storage in a secure, dry, controlled and without risk of infestation of xylophagous insects during the entire period of exposure and delivery of these crates at the Museum on 1 st day of dismantling of the exhibition;

g) Assistance with the hanging of works by 2 employees of the carrier during 2 weeks during assembly and 2 weeks during dismantling;

h) The coordination of all these actions by a coordinator experienced in the field of the transport of works of art for exhibitions and polyglot (French and Dutch, English if possible);

The market is divided into 2 phases, valid for each lot:

- phase 1: the realization of the packaging, the actual packaging and the transport of the works from their place of conservation (owner) to the premises of the MRBAB and the unpacking of the works on the spot,

- phase 2: the packaging of the works, their transport from the premises of the MRBAB to the owner and their unpacking on site.
