Description:
Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) for the MOG project.

The provision of marine warranty surveying services for the Modular Offshore Grid (MOG) project in the Belgian North Sea, including but not limited to: engineering assessments, document reviews, certification services, vessel and equipment surveys and on-site attendances. The Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) provides independent third-party technical review and approval of high value and/or high risk offshore installation and transportation project operations, from the preparation stages through to the physical execution. Marine warranty surveying services are required for the OSY Platform (Lot 1) as well as the Submarine Cables (Lot 2).

The final contracting entity may be:

(i) Elia Asset NV and/or Elia System Operator NV; and/or

(ii) Any company belonging to the Elia group; and/or

(iii) A new company that will be set up by 1 of the companies of the Elia Group.

Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) for the OSY Platform

The Marine Warranty Surveyor's scope of work for the OSY Platform includes:

— The review of equipment certificates and physical inspection of the installation spread (including tugs, installation vessel, barges and any installation related equipment).

— The review of the design of the temporary structures that are used for load out, offshore transport and offshore lifting.

— The inspection and certification of fabricated temporary structures.

— The monitoring of actual activities during load-out (on-site presence).

— The provision of a ‘Ready for Sail’ certificate.

— The review and inspection of the cargo barge, tug and installation vessels prior Sail.


Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) for the Submarine Cables

The Marine Warranty Surveyor's scope of work for the Submarine Cables includes:

— The review of the Project Execution Plan and approval of documents.

— Procedures / method statements for vessel/barge operations/equipment.

— Operational procedures and limitations and Adverse Weather Plans.

— Procedures / method statements for loading, discharge and installation activities.

— Lifting and rigging plans related to loading, discharge and installation activities.

— The approval of relevant arrangement drawings.

— The submission of Monthly Status Reports to the Employer for all items in the scope.
